At a meeting held on 18th January 2008 with the members of the ITAT Bar Association, Delhi, the Hon’ble President has addressed a number of important issues concerning the functioning of the Tribunal.

Hon’ble Shri Justice Bilal Nazki has assumed charge as judge of the Bombay High Court with effect from 7th January 2008.

Justice Nazki was born on 18th November, 1947 at Srinagar. He was appointed an Additional Judge of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court on 6th January, 1995. He was transferred to the Andhra Pradesh High Court with effect from 15th October, 1997. He was Acting Chief Justice of A.P. High Court twice from 4th April, 2005 till 26th November, 2005 and 12th November, 2007 to 6th January, 2008.

The Bombay High Court’s sanctioned strength of is 75 judges and there are presently 22 vacancies.
